2 months

Mathew is 2 months old today. He had a busy day as we drove to Orlando for an IVF Mother's Day Celebration. I was really looking forward to the event. It's put on by the Center for Reproductive Medicine, where we went for our IVF treatments. Unfortunately we hit major traffic though and it put us quite behind schedule. By the time we got there it was almost over and the little one was getting quite hungry. We luckily had time for a family portrait and a quick snack, but that was it. He was quickly getting fussy and most of the guests had cleared out so we didn't get to really talk to other IVF families or the doctors or nurses. It was still special just to be there with our little miracle and appreciate how thankful we truly are for him. Of course the few families that were still there all had babies as well and it's special just to be in a room full of people that have been through the same experience.

After the celebration, we went to lunch, and then dropped my mom off at the airport. Her trip went so quickly, but it was wonderful to have her for a few days. She really enjoyed her time with Mathew. Last night she even babysat, along with Uncle Jeff, so that Mat and I could have our first date night.

Mathew is continuing to thrive and seems to be right on track. He is smiling more and more and communicating with us with his little coos and baby talk. He likes to sit upright on our laps and bounce or just "talk." Of course our conversations are quite one sided, but entertaining nonetheless.
