Today we heard the sweetest sound....the cries of our baby boy! His vent came out and he can now cry! He has a little pacifier in his mouth now too and it's just precious. He was so fussy and persistent in pulling that vent out last night, that finally at 3:30AM, they just went ahead and took it out. He's handling it pretty well. He is receiving oxygen at 40% through his nose, but now he's breathing on his own and just getting a little extra help. This is a huge step in the right direction!
More update and pics to come soon. We had such a wonderful day and spent so much time with Mathew along with friends and family, but I am now exhausted so it's off to bed I go!

What wonderful news. I feel bad that he was crying but so happy that he was! Enjoy your beautiful boy and we can't wait to see more pictures. Grace wants to see more too :)
