10 Weeks and Back to the Grind

I'm happily enjoying being 10 weeks along at this point. It's certainly not out of the danger zone yet, but I'm starting to feel more and more confident. I even took a leap of faith and spilled the beans at work yesterday. What an awesome feeling that was to finally be the one with that kind of news to share. I couldn't even say the words "I'm pregnant," without crying. There are 4 of us at work that are pregnant and all due within a few weeks of each other....crazy! It was back to the grind as teachers reported back and it feels like it's been nonstop. I seem to do well when I'm at school and keeping busy, but the minute I get in my car to head home, the yawning begins. I'll be heading to bed when I finish this post, yes I know it's only 8:30. :) Weirdly, as tired as I feel the insomnia is making it's presence known. It's really frustrating to lay there yawning and not be able to fall asleep. Other than being tired, I've been feeling really good the last few days. The nausea seems to have let up quite a bit...yipee! What great timing. I really do love this time of year work wise. I enjoy the ability to start fresh with my job each year. I've been working hard to get my room ready and am now trying to get moving with the curriculum. I'm also looking forward to taking a little step back this year. I'm planning on becoming one of the teachers that actually leaves by 4PM each day rather than going to committees, extra curricular activities, and classes. I'll have finished my Master's VERY shortly and have stepped down from a couple professional commitments for now. I'm looking forward to doing my thing in the classroom and really putting all my effort towards those kiddos and the one kiddo growing inside! At this point, that kiddo is about the size of a prune and a little over an inch long. His hands and knees are now able to bend, little fingernails are forming, and peach fuzz hair is beginning to grow. Isn't God's creation just amazing?! I am just feeling so blessed and happy currently. I feel like I'm in a really good place and ready to begin enjoying it more and worrying less.

Good luck with getting back into the swing of things with school! I am glad to hear that you are taking care of yourself and going to put you and the little one first. It's so hard to do sometimes in our chosen profession, but very important at times in life. I am just so happy for you guys! Take care and keep up the awesome job on your blog!
