Sweet Cooper turned one month old on November 11, 2013. Now that he's only two days away from turning two months old, I knew I needed to blog about this milestone finally because he's already changed since then, and it quickly becomes hard to remember what changes are taking place.
These pictures were taken of my baby boy on his 1 month "birthday"! He's sporting his gown that was embroidered for the hospital that he never got a chance to wear while there. I had a cute little hat made with his name on it, too, but he screams like he's being tortured when I put it on him, so no hat for Cooper!
I might be biased by I think he's just delicious. Cooper loves to snuggle in my arms, and I just adore it. He is one very sleepy baby. This kiddo sleeps a lot! I'm not sure if it's part of the third child syndrome, or God just knew I couldn't handle it (haha!), but he's been quite an easy baby so far. When he is awake, at one month old he is turning his head from side to side, responding to our voices by turning his head/eyes, following our faces with his eyes, and nursing every 2-4 hours during the day and 3-6 hours at night. At one month, he typically sleeps one four hour stretch at night, wakes to eat, and then sleeps a few more hours before waking again to eat. He's sleeping in his rock and play most nights and napping in the rock and play, swing, pack and play, or bouncy seat.
He had a great check up. No shots at this first appointment, but he weighed in at 10 lbs. 6 oz (76%), was 21 1/8 in. (45%), and had a head circumference of 38.5cm (65%). We are so blessed by this healthy little baby boy!
