A Favorite Place

One last thing we did while GiGi was in town (actually it was Mat's ploy to try to convince her to stay one more day) was visit the Madison Children's Museum.  This is definitely one of our faves.  It's just the right size and has so many wonderful things for MJ to explore.  It's so well planned out and developed; I can't say enough good things about it!  If it were closer, it would be somewhere we had a season pass to so we could go much more often.

This is probably MJ's favorite, because it involves cars of course!  The day we visited he had this table almost all to himself.  Little spots in the middle where they can pop through and reach all the roads, trains, cars, they can imagine!  I told Mat we need this at home but he just laughed at me.  :)

The awesome rooftop deck is one thing we missed out on last time we visited because it was still winter time.  It was beautiful.  Lots of pretty flowers, even greens you could pick and munch on, chickens, birds, rain barrels, sandbox, hula hoops, etc.  So neat!
A quick snuggle with mommy on the rooftop deck.
A little hula hoop action with GiGi.  I was nice to GiGi and didn't post any of her attempting to hula hoop.  Quite fun!
MJ checking out the little baby chicks.
One of his other favories, the water area!  He gets himself soaked, despite the clever little aprons, but it's so worth it!  This time I was prepared with a change of clothes.  He is so serious as he fills all the little container and then dumps them out over and over.
And then he got a little silly.  Love this picture (courtesy of Gigi)...pure joy and excitement.  I think shortly after this is when he started throwing water on me and then we decided it was time to go.  :)

I bet GiGi is thankful for you not posting the photos of the hula-hoop attempt, but I'm sure it could have given us all a good laugh! lol That place looks amazing, so glad your mom was able to stay & enjoy it with you guys. xxo, Mindy
