Neighborhood Walks and Peonies

Before we lived on South Grandview, I loved to drive down the street during the summertime for two reasons:  peonies and American flags lining each and every median.  It's just so picturesque to me and represents small-town America. 

I feel incredibly blessed that we now live on this street.  I'm still not sure it was our best financial move, but this house just really feels homey to us.  When I've been gone, I love driving down the street and turning in knowing this is where we live.  I hadn't had that feeling since leaving Florida.  The home is far from perfect.  Sure, I'd love more luxurious things, a big pantry, more closets, etc. but this just suits us so well, and I love that my kids are growing up in this home.  Dare I jinx it, because you know us and our tendency to move regularly, but for now at least, it feels great!  By far my favorite thing to do is walk out the front door and go for a walk/bike ride with the kids.  No more loading up the car and heading to a trail.  Just, go....

Ahhh, I love summertime and walks with my family.  If only it could last year round!
